For this project throwback, we’re looking back at a Unirack shelving installation completed as part of the wider Cromwell Tools Bristol Hub fit out.
This project was not simply a standalone shelving job. The Unirack system formed one part of a larger warehouse and office fit out delivered by our parent company, Advanced Commercial Interiors, with the secure mesh partitioning element completed by our sister company, Industrial Partitions.
The main aim of the shelving element was to help Cromwell Tools make better use of the available space inside their new Bristol Hub. With a 348m² mezzanine floor installed as part of the wider project, Unirack shelving was fitted both above and below the mezzanine to create a high-capacity storage setup across two working levels.
This allowed the warehouse area to be used far more efficiently, with long runs of galvanised shelving positioned beneath the mezzanine and further storage created on the upper deck. The result was a practical layout that supported stock organisation, product accessibility and day-to-day warehouse operations.
The shelving was also planned alongside Superbuild pallet racking up to 6m high, giving Cromwell Tools a combined storage solution for different product types and load requirements. Smaller items could be stored within the Unirack shelving system, while larger palletised goods could be accommodated within the wider warehouse racking layout.
One of the key strengths of this project was how each part of the group’s work came together. Advanced Commercial Interiors delivered the wider fit out package, including the:
-
- Mezzanine Floor
- Office Areas
- Staff Facilities
- Lighting
- Power
- Data
- Heating and Air Conditioning
Industrial Partitions supplied the secure mesh partitioning, creating controlled-access zones within the warehouse while maintaining visibility and airflow.
The finished installation provided Cromwell Tools with a clean, organised and scalable storage environment within their Bristol Hub, showing how Unirack shelving can be integrated into larger commercial fit out projects where storage, access, security and workspace requirements all need to work together.
